Plush with black and red fruit aromas, this wine enters with a burst of sweet cherry on the front, chocolate strawberry in the middle, and a pop of pomegranate and clove on the finish.
Our Artistry Series celebrates the creativity that winemaking and traditional art have in common. In this series we focus on four blends that represent Joe Benziger’s interpretation of renowned wine growing regions throughout the world. The wines are named for critical stages in the artistic process; from the spark of inspiration, to the connection between the artist and the observer as the work is interpreted.
Tasting Notes: Inspiration honors the robust wines of Spain. Using Tempranillo’s rustic tannins as a base (46%), Grenache (22%), known for a softer, lighter approach, is able to bring harmony to the ensemble. The remaining varietals give this wine the rich, full-body it needs to support its complex structure. Plush with black and red fruit aromas, this wine enters with a burst of sweet cherry on the front, chocolate strawberry in the middle, and a pop of pomegranate and clove on the finish.
Vinification: Each varietal went through partial malolactic fermentation and was aged separately until the final blend. Tempranillo, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and were aged in French oak barrels for 20 months.
