Tasting Notes: WOW delivers the best characteristics of each varietal in the blend; from the firm, full body of Cabernet, to the deep purple hue of Tempranillo, this is a memorable wine. Offering aromas of pepper and mushroom, in the mouth, this wine’s muscular tannins are balanced by flavors of tart cranberry, blueberry, and cherry. This blend is truly full of surprises: from the aromas of the earth to the robust fruit and dry finish. Enjoy now or cellar for the next 5-7 years.
Vinification: Small lots from seven vineyards underwent a gentle regimen of cold-soaking, punchdowns (by hand) and extended maceration to optimize the soft tannins. The components were selected barrel by barrel and aged separately in a combination of French and American oak. The 2015 Wow Red is made up of 27% Malbec, 18% Petite Sirah, 12% Cab Sauvignon, 12% Cab Franc, 10% Merlot, 10% Tempranillo, 5% Sangiovese, 5% Primitivo, 1% Barbera.
