Tasting Notes: Our Riesling is atop Pine Mountain where it has plenty of sun exposure and wind protection, and it thrives. Mountain conditions produce a wine with stone fruit flavors, fresh, mineral elements and powerful floral aromatics. Dry, crisp and refreshing, this wine was artfully crafted to be extremely food- friendly. Ready to drink or cellar from 1-3 years.
Vinification: Riesling needs to be handled with care during the winemaking process, from start to finish. We used single lot fermentations to maintain distinctive floral flavors. Riesling does not undergo malolactic fermentation. This helps preserve the tart, acidic characteristic of the wine that gives the varietal the “thirst-quenching” quality. The wine was bottled early to retain the fresh fruity character.
