Tasting Notes: The Viognier from the Russian River Valley is derived from a cool climate, which allows for longer hang times, resulting in concentrated flavors. This wine’s heady stone fruit and supple citrus flavors leave a lasting impression on the palate.
Vinification: This varietal needs to be handled with care during the winemaking process, from start to finish. The delicate floral juice of Viognier is surrounded by an astringent skin, which can cause the wine to be bitter. We whole berry press and use only the free run juice to preserve the wine’s
beautiful delicacy. Cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks maintains the fragile flavors during fermentation.
